Nebraska winters are generally a slow time for me, so I was really excited when Nature Explore asked for some snowy winter photos! They're a great non-profit organization that works with the Arbor Day Foundation to help connect children with nature. It hasn't been a snowy year for us, so we had to wait for great puffy snow, and when it finally snowed and we scheduled the shoot, it was -9°. My fingers stopped working long before my camera stopped working and then I shot a roll while crossing my icicle fingers that the film didn't freeze and break. All that happened long before our happy little models wanted to go inside, those are some tough kids! Read more about Nature Explore here!
