Waiting For Leo, 2025
This piece is inspired by the endless tracking of the menstrual cycle and fluctuating hormones while trying to conceive a baby, and the lonely and complicated, but not unique, space your heart occupies during this process. The yellow fabric was digitally printed using my watercolor designs. Designing my own fabrics serves to deepen the relationship with my work and extend the art making practice. My work is driven by the joy and flow of improvisational piecing and quilting, and the surprising results and narratives they reveal about my life.
